Horizontal dividers between bullets

Hi all,

I'd like to be able to set up my bullet points in the slide template to be
separated by a line between each major bullet. It would look something like:

------
Bullet 1
------
Bullet 2
Bullet a
Bullet b
------
Bullet 3
------

Is this possible? If so, can someone provide a little guidance?

Also, I would like to have shaded text boxes for only the sub bullets (in
this example, a & b). Help here would be appreciated too.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking that VBA would be my solution. This
will definately provide a solution for me in time. With the sample you
provided, when I run it, I get the following error:

"Method 'BoundTop' of object 'TextRange' failed"

And it fails to draw a bottom line.

Also, I certainly appreciate the help, but I would not like for you to have
to provide me with every little answer. Can you recommend a good reference
for Powerpoint VBA? I'm fairly proficient with Excel VBA, but I kind of lose
my way in Powerpoint with it.

I'll work with your sample some more to see if I can make progress with some
of the asthetic aspects.

thanks

Hi Steve

I see the same error as Robbie (2007 on Vista)

Here's whats happening here (I can't see why though!)

After the loop "x" is paragraph count + 1. (I don't have any extra blank
lines and I checked eg para count =3 but x=4.) Since there's no para 4 it
errors on the final line draw.
