Hosted PST

Why can we have a hosted PST instead of forcing to use the local PC? Hosted
PST will allow the user to use his PST file though http.

Why would you use HTTP then?
If you want to store your data server-side, it is already possible via an
Exchange, IMAP or Outlook Connector connection.

So what would be the added benefit or difference in needing to store your
data both in an on-line mailbox and in an on-line pst-file (or other on-line
data storage containing mail items.

Because if the connection is lost before the user closes outlook, the pst
can be damaged.
