Hosting problem

My host, lycos, does not support FrontPage 2003. I actually built my site in
2002 but upgraded without realising this problem. Now I can't update my
site. They say I can still ftp the site via FrontPage but this just freezes
the program. Does anyone know of a workaround? I haven't tried a separate
ftp client and I am reluctant to pay for one.

If Lycos supports FP2002, then they support FP2003 - as far as Unix
servers are concerned there is no difference in the FrontPage
extensions, or server requirements.

If your site has FP extensions do NOT use FTP - this will corrupt the
extensions.

What problems are you having?

There are free ftp programs on the web. Download one and try it. I've
always used one and only written in frontpage.

I get a message saying 'Unable to open
http://frontpage.webhosting.lycos.co.uk/www.mydomeain.co.uk
Server error: possible causes. 1) The webserver does not have front page
extensions installed 2) The webserver is out of service 3) The proxy
settings may be incorrect bla bla bla.

Earlier today I did actually upload the site via ftp as it was completely
gone. So I may have corruped the extensions already.

What can I do about all this?

It still doesn't work, having done this.

I am left with a bit of a problem. I can't publish via FrontPage and I'm
told not to try ftp. What now?!
