Hello,
I'm using Excel 2003 automated on a Web Server to dynamically create .XLS
files. Some of these generated .XLS files contain code within the
Workbook_Open() routine to locate and open a template (.XLT) files on the
users PC. When this happens the template is opened (as a new workbook) and
data read from a Worksheet in the original .XLS file into a Worksheet in the
new Template, once done the code activates the new workbook and closes the
old workbook.
This works fine when the user is running Excel 2000 but fails with Excel
2003. If you take IE 6 out of the equation and open the file directly using
Excel 2003 all is well - it only seems to fail if Excel is being hosted by
IE.
Can anyone help me please... ?
