Hot key to enable screensaver?

A

Andrea Bauer

This is probably a very simple question - but I don't know
the answer and can't find it in help. When I leave my
desk, is there a hot key or combo that I can do to enable
the screen saver?

Thanks!
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

This is an Office newsgroup so your question is a little off topic.
:) However if you are using Windows XP you can use WinKey + L to
enable the log on screen if that is what you are looking for.

Otherwise you may want to post in a Windows newsgroup specific to the
version you are using.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email can not be acknowledged.

You didn't mention which version of Office you have. Using Office 2000 as
an example, you can create a shortcut to OSA9.EXE using the Target command
line (note quotation marks):
"D:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE" -s
The drive and folder path may be different on your system.

Double-clicking that shortcut will start the default screen saver. You
can right-click on the icon, select Properties, and then assign a hotkey
combination to the shortcut.
