hi i use osx 10.3.3, entourage 2004 and a palm tungsten t3.
when i sync the palm to entourage i end up notonly with multiple
entries for each name in my address book (2 to 4 identical entries for
many names) but some entries are listed as "last name, first name" on
my palm (and in entourage) and some are listed "firstname lastname".
the ones that are listed as "firstname lastname" all seem to have been
plucked by entoruage from incoming emails. in fact in the "notes" part
of their palm entry, each of these problematic addresses will say
<first name>John <last name> smith. but the names will be listed in
palm only under 'first name" thus totally screwing up my list.
am i claer? if you can understand me, can you advise me what to do so
that all the entries in my palm are listed "lastname, firstname" .
the problem si that with the constant duplciation of names i now have
7,000 entries (instead of 3,000) and the scripts i have found so far
cna't handle that many entries.
thanks - peter green
