Hotfix available (?) for KB 823324

Anyone else have a problem with Outlook 2K SP3, opening
an ics file? The subject KB gives a link to a series of
of support request dialogs, that eventually dead-in at
https://webresponse.one.microsoft.com/OAS/Secure/SelectPID
..aspx

When I enter my Product ID number from Outlook there, it
claims "This Product ID number you entered is not
eligible for online support...". That is peculiar, since
KB823324 was updated 8/11/2004...

Try calling 1-800-936-4900 (press 3 for hotfixes) and tell them you're
calling to obtain the hotfix described in KB [number] and they should fix
you right up.

The 800 number worked (support promptly emailed me a link
to download the patch from), though I briefly thought it
was stuck in a loop that repeated "Please continue to
hold... every 15 seconds, endlessly...

By the way, Slipstick is where I google'd onto the tip on
that particular KB article...
