Hotfix for Remaining Work read only

Could anyone help me answering those 2 questions please (first one more
important than second one)?
Is there any hotfix for solving the fact that Remaining work field for tasks
can't be entered when we set "Time entry by Timesheet only. Users will sync
to update tasks. " setting?

Another querstion, is there a way to insert a column Remaining work in the
Timesheet view (that would be populated with tasks remaining work) so that
when populatingTimesheets the users could insert this in a easy way (without
having to click on the task name link to open the task detail).

No and no. However, SP1 for Project Professional 2007 and Project Server
2007 is slated for release next week. Let's see if Microsoft addressed
either of these issues in SP1. Hope this helps.

Wow! That's really good news Dale, I thought it would be released only on Fev
2008!

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this issue is not addressed in the
upcoming SP, much to my dismay. I don't know if and when it will be.
