Hotmail Accounts and Default Display

1. I have two hotmail accounts. One account synchronizes fine with Outlook;
however, the second account will not synchronize. I get the following
message when trying to send/recieve:
synchronizing headers: reported error (0x800CCCF6): and unknown error has
occurred.

2. I can't get outlook to default to the inbox of my working hotmail
account upon opening. Tools>Options>Other>Advanced Options does not have my
hotmail account listed as an option for default display.

Thank you for your help.

Outlook does not support more than one HTTP account. You might get more
than one Hotmail account to work in Outlook. I've seen some users with 3
Hotmail accounts defined in Outlook. However, only 1 is supported. See
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=325114.

You could define multiple profiles and switch between them to poll your
other Hotmail accounts. In Outlook, switching between profiles means
exiting Outlook, reloading Outlook, and selecting which profile to use in
that session of Outlook (provided you have configured NOT to use a default
profile when Outlook starts). See the Mail applet in Control Panel to
define more profiles.

vanguard,

thanks for you input. by successfully connecting to either, but not both,
http accounts, i had come to the conclusion that outlook wouldn't support
multiple http accounts. that would've been a nice 'feature' for ms to
document, rather than fighting the issue for a few hours.

also, i had researched the profile issue through the mail applet in the
control panel. that's more trouble than home-paging ie to my 2nd hotmail
account. (i use firefox for browsing). thanks for the link to the ms
outlook/http error. i tried, i really did, to find something like that
before posting here, but that page escapted me.

thanks again.
