Hotmail / MSN access broke after SP2

M

Michele Rodriguez

Been running Entourage with hotmail for well over a year now without issue
and after the update yesterday to SP2, it recognized my old account and said
it needed to update it. I let it do its thing and now I can only receive
email. Outbound messages just sit there and I get the following error. Any
help is appreciated.

An operation on the server timed out. The server may be down, overloaded, or
there may be too much net traffic.

Mail could not be sent.

Account name: "MSN Hotmail"

Error: -3259

Are you still trying to use the Hotmail connection as it was set up a
long time ago? Are you aware that this Hotmail DAV connection has been
deprecated and is going away in favor of POP? Have a look here:

"Free Hotmail accounts soon accessible to Entourage"

Hope this helps!
