Hotmail stopped working in entourage

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Have been able to use hotmail in entourage fine for 2 years
5 days ago it just stopped with the (seemingly popular)

HTTP error. Access to the resource is forbidden.
The Windows Live Hotmail folder list could not be received.

Account name: " hotmail"

Error: -18597

I tried many things and in the end removed the account and put it back on but still no luck

It was working fine and stopped inexplicably

Any ideas?

Log in with your browser and view the emails in your Inbox. It could be a
corrupt email, but that should only affect receiving and not sending.

Seems I remember something about testing in a new Identity would "unstick" a
Hotmail account.
