Hours changing to Days when entered into PWA

Hi -
We have a recommendation from reading other posts that a user should use the
'h' after putting in their time. Of course - they don't always do that.
This is a development engineering team using the tool - so they don't always
buy into my instructions since the tool is supposed to be smart

Is there a way for me to set the default to only allow hours to be entered.

Specifically seeing issue with UK users -- if they enter 1 without the 'h' -
it iis being recorded as 24hr in the project plan.


Is there any hope coming that this will be fixed??

Donna --

Assuming that you have the Infrastructure Update applied to Project Server
2007, the Project Server administrator can edit the My Tasks web part and
specify that Work is displayed in Hours. This way, if a resource enters "1"
in the My Tasks grid, the system assumes the resource means 1 hour and not 1
day. Hope this helps.

We just loaded the update this past weekend

I edited the My Tasks web part to show only hours - so I expected that this
would work.

Any other suggestions on why we might still have issues?

we are looking for the same answer...
We edited our my tasks page to display in hours, yet, still, when a person
enters a 4 in without the h, it presents 32hrs...4(days?) x 8hrs/day =
32hrs...

Do you have the default setting for the Project that they are entering time
into set for Hours as opposed to Days?
