Hours in EPM Resource Usage view slightly different than Adjust Ac

I'm using EPM Server 2003 with SP2.

I find the some of actual updated hours (as shown in black) in the Update
Actuals view are different than what I saw when I open a file in MS project
and use the Resource Usage view and select both Work and Actuals for the
right side - even though the same tasks are visible.

James:

These can vary some because they use different data sources. The project
client has a habit of moving or recalculating actual work when certain
conditions are true. Using fixed duration tasks is the most common cause.

Hi Gary,

I'm currently joining the following tables to query actuals:

MSP_VIEW_PROJ_ASSN_TP_BY_DAY
MSP_WEB_ASSIGNMENTS
MSP_WEB_RESOURCES

Are there different tables that I could get actuals from that would reflect
the EPM Server view in Adjust Actuals?

You might want to have a look at MSP_WEB_WORK. The answer to your question
is as many that are asked here, "it depends." How you use your system will
determine how work is represented and where the most reliable representation
lives.
