Hours on a project

When you make a new project it calculates the hours needed to finish the
project, I would llike to know the total hours of the tasks assigned to each
project.

Is there a way i can change this in the gannt chart ?

Cheers,

Wayne,

Change the Gannt chart to your heart's delight, by
selecting a column, right click, insert column, and
select the type of data you would like displayed in that
column. See online help for the definitions because there
are a lot to choose from.

Hope this helps.

p.s. the total hours of work for a project, should appear
at the very top level (your first task/project name) in
the Work column. It rolls up by level and will also give
you subtotals for each group of subtasks.

It does give a sub total at the top, but this total is using the
duration ...

So if project A has 2 tast

1st is for today 8 hours
2nd is for Wednesday 8 hours

The total will be 5 days, (1 day for Today, Friday, Monday Tuesday and
Wednesday)

What i would like to see is 16 but cant seem to get that

Hello Wayne,
Don't confuse Duration and Work !
In your example, 5 days is the duration, 16 hours is the work.
Insert the "Work" column in the left hand panel of the Gantt Chart : Insert
/ Column / Work...

Hope this helps,

Thanks I think i am on the right track,

Now i just have a question about how the hours are calculated, Some time
the projects have the correct hours and other times really night, it looks
as if they have Too many hours.

Any ideas as you helped a great deal for my first question :)

Cheers,

Wayne
