Hover Buttons Not Working

Im building a framed (3) page web - std - top banner
(static), left table of contents, right main area. I
programmed 7 hover buttons in the contents area and
targeted the pages associated to them in the main area.
The links are in place in the navigation view. When I go
to the 'preview' mode the buttons disappear and the small
picture placeholder is shown. In the 'normal' mode the
hover buttons do not change color or display the targeted
page. Can someone give me a clue what's happening and how
to correct it.
Thank you.

Hover buttons require Java, and MS can no longer distribute
it. It is therefore recommended to ditch hover buttons and
utilize other options, ie DHTML. If you are dead set on
using them, all users who are to view the site will need to
have Java on their machine. You can download it from SUN or
install from an AOL CD.

Thank You Mike - I have spent hours on this. I'll take
your advice and try the DHTML approach. Are there any
other functions that have been changed or not supported
in FP?
Thanks Again.

I am only familiar with FP2000, so I do not know what
changes there are between versions. The hover buttons AFAIK
are still supoorted in FP, it is just the need for JAVA to
view them.
I like the DHTML idea, just make a gif of the button and use
a mouseover/swap image combo. I have played with it and use
animated gifs as the replacement images.
