hover buttons

They show up pretty quick for me...maybe it's something to do with which
version of JVM you have installed on your machine.

You may want to reconsider using (or rather, not using) java hover buttons.
Your viewers will have to have JVM installed on their machines to view them
(otherwise they'll see just gray boxes). Many newer machines do not come
with JVM installed like they did in the olden days.

| Hi yall, could someone be so kind and view www.fulltiltracingusa.com and
| tell me why the hover buttons take so long to show up? Is this 'just the
way
| it is' with FP? Is there an alternative? thanks

Ouch, ok. I don't want people seeing gray boxes. I just liked the glow
effect. Thanks for the links and advise, well taken.

There's otherways to accomplish the same thing using interactive buttons or
DHTML effects.

You need to make your own images to start with - two versions ie the
"normal" and the "mouseover" versions. Use an image editor that allows you
to do the "glow" effect on the mouseover version of the image. Save them as
"normal" and "over" or whatever you like eg "home_normal.gif" and
"home_over.gif" and so on for all your buttons.

The use the DHTML feature to make the rollovers.

Using FP2003 this can be achieved using behaviours.
