hover/visited link color

I've set up my style sheet with different colors for my links when they're
hoverd and after they've been visited. I've noticed that after a link has
been visited, the color doesn't change when the mouse hovers over it. Do I
need to not have a color defined for visited links, in order for the link to
change color when it is hovered, regardless of whether it has been visited?
(Hope I explained that clearly enough. It's awfully wordy!)

make sure visited is above hover in your style sheet.

a:visited {
a:hover {

Remember styles "cascade" so if visited is beneath hover, visited will take precedence once the link
is clicked and the hover color will be blocked.
