How 2 make navigation buttons like tabs on file folder

Hello, How do you create a horizontal navigation link bar that looks similar
to tabs on file folders? I see many nice web sites that use this navigation
structure, and the button width adjusts to fit the text. I have looked at the
different link bar styles, and the only one that comes close is in the arctic
theme. However, the buttons are one size and spread apart.
I want to create a horizontal navigation link bar where the buttons touch
each other. Also, many nice looking web sites contain navigation buttons with
slanted edges.
I am using MS FrontPage 2003 on a PC. I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Use a graphics editor to create your own tabs or look at one of the many
sites that offer FrontPage themes and templates to see if there is one that
already has tabs that fit your needs.

I don't know if this is what you're after, but try the interactive buttons
(in FP 2003 - they have a "tab" shape button) Otherwise you can make your
own in a graphics editor.

the buttons across the top are the "tab" buttons in the Interactive Buttons
in FP 2003.

Also, I'm sure there's plenty of resources on the 'net there that offer
button graphics you could use.

I have spent many hours searching, but I have only found plain and straight
tabs. Where can I find nice modern looking tabs? Am I looking in the wrong
places?

You have the following 5 options:

1. Locate (search) a Theme/Template that has tabs

2. Locate (search) a image of tabs and then use the Imagemap component to make links, like the
example site you provided.

3. Hire a graphic artist to create the tabs for you or a web developer to create your site.

4. Create the tabs in your favorite Graphic Application.

5. Rethink why you want to use tabs.

6. Snag the image and use it as a template to create your own...should be pretty easy in a good image editor.
