How align 3 side-by-side pie charts from Excel to Word?

I want to compare 3 pie charts set up the same size on one line as a figure
in a Word document. I'll make the pies in Excel or in Word, if that's the
only way to do it. Surely someone else has had this problem!

Wherever the charts are made, they need to be the same size. The easiest way is to
make the first chart, then copy it twice and change its data. Also, the round pie
charts are contained in a wide rectangular box, with lots of space on either side.
You can resize the container to make it square, then expand the pie to fill the new
square box. This will make them fit side by side in a nicer way, without the white
space.

In Word, the placement might work out nicely if you insert a table, one row with
three cells, and put one chart in each cell. You may have to experiment a little to
get the sizes correct.
