I have a general question on the general process Access use to resolve
read/write conflicts in a Shared Back End database (which contains tables
that are shared with multiple users - I assume these tables are all linked to
the Front End). Take the case that I am thinking of: I will have multiple
users wishing to update a common table or tables. I assume MS Access will
allow the users to open the table and make their changes?? How is this
sharing of a table with multiple users works?
How are the changes updated back into the Linked Table? If someone was in
the process of reading, he can read old data because just as he is reading
someone is updating the data??
Iam I missing something in the sharing?? Any help is appreciated.
Thank You,
Gary
