How backwards compatible is Visio 2002 with Visio 2000?

Sometimes, I would have to install MFC42.DLL files in order to make the
button controls work. Visio 2000 also would frequently freeze when
installing to a workstation from the network - often trying to write to our
client server . Are there any known issues with compatibility between Visio
2000 & Visio 2002? Is Visio 2002 backwards compatible with Visio 2002?
