How can 2003 read 2007??

I have just installed Microsoft Office 2007 and so far I think it is
wonderful! On doing so, I didn't realise that when I save a document from
2007 to my external harddrive and then go to another computer, the second
computer cannot read the file extension .dox?? (because it is 2003)
This is going to be very inconvenient so is there something I have
overlooked, and is there a solution?

There are two solutions.

The quick one is in Word 2007, to click the Office button, Save As,
and Word 97-2003 Document. That will make a .doc file that you can
send to the other computer and open with Word 2003.

The other one is to download the Compatibility Pack from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941B3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466
and install it on the computer with Office 2003. It's a large
download, but once it's installed you can use Word 2003 to open .docx
files from Word 2007 without conversion.
