How can a Resource be 200% available?

Hi, hope someone can enlighten me...I don't understand how
to make sense of the above claim...unless the same person
work overtime for 8 hrs within the same day?!?!

Also, if the task is constrained by dates MSP will
increase the resource allocation to accommodate the
dates. I.e., task must be complete in 2 days, task is
20hrs, resource typically works 8hr day, therefore must be
more than 100% allocated to complete 20hrs wk in total of
16hr workdays.

Therein lies the rub - someone simply cannot do 20 hours of work in a 16
hour time frame, which is why fixed duration tasks are so dangerous to a
realistic schedule. "Working 110%" makes nice copy in a bank commercial but
real people simply cannot do it.
