My XP computer has crashed. I am trying to access my outlook via a Vista
computer but dont know how. Tried the web access programme.,can't download it
because my vista computer does not have 11S 5.0 whatever that is.
You likely will need personal help from a local consultant.
The concepts involved in retrieving your data from your Windows XP
computer are likely to be too confusing. We will probably need to remove
your existing hard drive and connect it to your Vista computer. Then
we'll need to recreate your account settings and retrieve your PST file
from the XP hard drive.
I am pretty sure fixing your XP PC will be less involved.
I can attempt to give you some instructions for that.
Please describe how your XP computer crashed.
Is it a desktop or a laptop? What is its model number? Can you boot it
up at all? When you power on the system, how far does it get? Do you see
any messages related to hard drives? Do you see the graphical Windows XP
screen? Do you see a text screen saying that previous attempt failed?
Does the system automatically restart in a continuous loop? If not, can
you get to Windows XP login screen or XP desktop? If you got to this
point, did the start menu load?
