I cut out some data (strings) from a word document and placed them into
my memo field in the form, but noticed the alpha symbol changed to a
square box.

There are several greek alphabet symbols used in science to describe
variables, and objects.

So how can I get access 2002 in xp pro to paste the symbols, do i have
to add something to it somehow like a language extension? how do I do
this, please help.

There is an applet with Windows called Character Map. If you have it
installed, it will be under:
Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools
or just Start | Programs | Accessories (depending on your version of
Windows).

In this applet, select a standard font such as Arial, and you will be able
to choose the upper and lower case Greek letters, among many other Unicode
symbols available.
