How can I adjust the size of an Outlook Note while editing it?

While creating Notes in Outlook 2002, I used to be able to adjust the size of
the note by clicking in the lower right hand corner. Now that feature has
become "grayed out" and every note is maximized to fill the entire screen
when I read it or attempt to edit it. This is a cosmetic pet peeve as
opposed to functionality.
