I have a Bill of Materials for an Assembly that consists of 13 items. Each
item is itself a component Part Number, varying with color, voltage,
function, and position in the assembly. I have a worksheet that allows me to
enter these variables and to produce a 'volatile' Bill of Materials. The
particular BoM
What I want to do is the following:
1. If the assembly is ordered, I want to 'save' the 'volatile' BoM that I
have just generated to another worksheet.
2. I want to be able to assign a (serially-generated) Part Number to the BoM
that I just 'saved'.
3. I want the Part Number allocated to that BoM to show up on the 'volatile'
worksheet in the (unlikely) event that the same combination of 13 components
is generated.
I will appreciate any help on any of these three challenges.
Thank you.
