How can I apply a project plan shell or template to another, exis.

How can I apply a project plan shell or template to another, existing work
plan? I have created a standard work plan template for which future plans
will be based on. I also want to easily apply that template to existing work
plans? Currently, I have to copy and paste. Wish there was an easier way to
apply the settings and calculations to another plan.

Hi Jan,

All settings. I want to "apply" the template with all calculations such as
Earned Value (we use some customer calcs and views) and custom views to an
existing workplan and resource pool. In my scenario, someone has created a
work plan without the custom settings and views. I would like to apply all
custom calcs and views to another workplan.

Hi eric,

I would open the template (empty, no tasks nor resources) then open the
project, Gantt Chart, Select all (by clicking the little square in the left
upper corner), Copy, then in the template select all, paste.
It brings along the resources as well
If the resources haev special calendars... the you foirst have to copy the
resources in the same way (but from the resource sheet)
