How can I be able to edit Cutom Fields

Hi,
I have an existing Customfield called "Team Name" defined in PWA 2007.
It is defined as "Entity=Resource" and "Type=Text"
When i go to edit with admin rights , i find these data grayed wherein i
cannot edit
i want to change Entity to "Project" instead of "Resource" just that i use
the existing field and i will be able to use this in project information.
Please tel me if i can be able to edit and change this or should i create a
new one.
Thanks
max

After you create a custom enterprise field, you cannot later edit the field
and change the Entity. This means you need to delete what you already
created, and then create a new one with the Entity you want. Hope this
helps.

Hi Dale,
Thanks for the inputs provided. Infact i was going through this post "
Can't get rid of Enterprise Fields that I no longer need!!" > here you give a
step by step process to get rid of these unwanted fields

I followed the same, but in my case when i open my "EnterpriseGlobal"
under Fields tab i am not able to view anything
does this mean that the fields are not synchronized from PWA to project
prof, if so hw do we do this.
thanks

You have to delete the custom field using the PWA interface where you
actually created the field. You cannot delete custom enterprise fields in
the Enterprise Global, as the system does not store the custom enterprise
fields in the Enterprise Global, as the system did in the 2002 and 2003
versions of Project Server. Hope this helps.
