How can I blend autoshapes/ let them overlap?

I am busy working with Autoshapes in Office XP and I would love to blend/ mix
the autos hapes. For instance, when I draw to circles I would like them to
overlap en mix. Now I only can put one circle on top of the other. They do
not blend. How do I do this?

Kind regards,
Rolan

If you mean you want to add two autoshapes together to make one composite
shape so you can fancy color fill it, it can't be done. The only thing you
can do is to trace around your composite shape with Autoshapes/lines/freeform
to make your own new shape and then you can use fancy graded colour fills
etc. but you have to be patient.
