How can I calculate maximum number of characters in a table cell?

Hi,
I am trying to process tables in Word. I am stuck with a task of finding out
maximum number of characters a table cell can contain.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ken,

Unless you are using a fixed width font such as Courier, it's going to
depend on the actual letters that are used.

You can fit a lot more llllllll's than you can MMMMM's
