Hi PG,
Not totally sure what you're doing.
Normally when people ask about holes, I start talking about Visio's Boolean
Operations.
Try this:
1. Draw a big square
2. Draw a smaller circle inside the square
3. Select both shapes
4. Choose: Shape > Operations > Combine
You should have a round hole in a square shape. Note that this will destroy
any properties or data that you've added to the original shapes, as it
creates a new shape and destroys the old ones.
Is that what you've been doing? Does this info help?
There's no easy way to change the inner-shape of the hole, but again, the
boolean ops could help:
1. Select your square-circle shape
2. Choose: Shape > Operations > Fragment
You'll have a dougnut and a circle shape
3. Select both shapes
4. Choose: Shape > Operations > Union
You'll be back to a full square
5. Draw a different hole shape inside the square and combine with the square

Hope this helps,
Chris Roth
