How can I change the category (x) axis to logarithmic scale?

Use an XY (Scatter) chart type.

The only x-axis that can have a log scale is a XY Scatter chart. If you
create such a chart, then double-click the x-axis and from the Scale tab
check the 'Log scale' option.
