I want to make the grid to look more pale in Visio2003 (a lighter gray, like
in Visio2000), but I don't find the appearance settings for it.
Is this setting hidden somewhere, or I have to stick forever with the actual
grid color ?

I don't know that you can change that. You could make the page color a
little darker though.

Yes, there is a possibility to change the grid color.

First, select "Put all settings in Windows Registry" fro
Options-Advanced. Quit Visio.

Then, run the registry editor (start, run, regedit.exe). In th
"Current User" branch, go to Software - Microsoft - Office - 11.0
Visio - Colors. Change the "ColorGridForeground" from 192 192 192 to
say, 225 225 225.

Start Visio.

By default, M$ seems to have the policy to hide any useful setting
behind some "Advanced Options" menu. In contrast, most useful space i
taken by annoying online customer binding features.

BTW, the procedure above also works for Visio 2000, which provide
essentially the same features as Visio 2003 but with less adwar
content
