How can I check if a field in a table is used somewhere

I am in charge of taking the maintenance of a quite old Access, I suspect
that some fields have been never used or not used anymore.
The reporting tool I tried is not easy to manage.
I am using Acess 2000 french version

I would suggest using one of the good third-party tools to search a
database for all references to the fieldname:

Find and Replace http://www.rickworld.com
Speed Ferret http://www.moshannon.com
Total Access Analyzer http://www.fmsinc.com
