how can i choose only visible cells from a autofilter?

A coworker once showed me a toolbar function that allowed me to choose and
copy only the visible cells from a worksheet with an autofilter. The function
also allowed me to copy only the visible cells from a worksheet that had a
pivot table in it where the subsequent rows were grouped. How do I find this
function in Excel?

Press F5 & click on Special, then choose 'Visible Ceels Only'

For a toolbar icon, right click the toolbar and choose Customize
Click the Commands tab and choose Edit in the left panel.
In the right panel scroll down until you see Visible Cells Only
Drag the icon & drop it ON a toolbar

You don't need to do that with an autofilter, just select the filtered range
and copy and it should be OK. You can of course do it and it won't hurt but
I never do that

I 'thought' that was the case, Peo, but I am so used to using my toolbar
button that I wasn't sure. Thanks for the info
