After a Blue Screen of Death experience, I had to reinstall my operating
system (Windows 2000), and then one by one, install various programs that
were no longer functioning. Office 2000 got messed up, and each time I
attempt to launch Word, a window appears, looking for a Windows Installer to
launch it with. It eventually opens and looks/works fine, but won't launch
normally. The Windows Office update scan recommended downloading the Service
Pack 3. When I get to the last step in the process, it fails to completely
download and install. How do I get around this? I inserted the original
Office 2000 disc when prompted during the update, but to no avail. I'm unable
to update with the Service Pack 3.
