How can I convert a .docx document to a .doc document?

I sent a word document to someone and when it was revised, it was returned
as a .docx. What software would I need in order to open document?

Either download and install the Compatibility Pack from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...70-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466&displaylang=en,
or ask the other person to save the document in "Word 97-2003 format" from
Word 2007 (it's a choice on the Save As command) and send you the .doc file.
