How can I convert a Quark XPress file to Microsoft Publisher?

We have assumed the task of publishing the local village magazine. In the
past it has been prepared on an ancient Mac with Quark Xpress. We would like
to be able to bin the Mac and run it on Publisher. We can get the Quark
template from the previous publisher - can we make any use of it? It sounds
mad, but one suggetsion was to convert by printing on the Mac to pdf and then
opening the pdf in Publisher - coudl that possibly work? Is there a simple
alternative?

Start from scratch. The best you might be able to do is copy/paste
aspects from the Quark file to Pub.
