Hi Don,

MS has the Office Migration Planning Manager (OMPM)
that includes, among other things, a batch migration tool. However, you can save in Docx from both Word 2007 and, with the
installation of the Office 2007 compatibility pack, you can also save in .docx (zipped XML) from Word 2000, 2002 and 2003 as you
go.

Hi Don,

I hope all is fine.

If you want to manage the conversion from DOC to DOCX programmatically
then you should consider '*Aspose.Words for .NET*'
(http://www.aspose.com/Products/Aspose.Words/). It is the fastest Word
processing component for converting the following formats into DOCX.

- DOC to DOCX
- RTF to DOCX
- HTML to DOCX
- WordML to DOCX

You can '*download*'
(http://www.aspose.com/Community/Files/51/aspose.words/default.aspx) an
evaluation version and I hope the '*documentation*'
(http://www.aspose.com/Products/Aspose.Words/Api/) (API) of
Aspose.Words will definitely help you to meet your desired solutions.

Have a good day.
