How can I convert photos from .bmp to .jpeg?

I'm trying to upload photos to Shutterfly.com, however, photos must be jpeg
format. I have bmp, and, wish to convert from bmp to jpeg. Any assistance
will be greatly appreciated. I'm using the Microsoft Office Picture program

there are freewares
out there that allow
you to do a "save as"
or "export" from one
format into another.

this is also known as
converting the image.

however, you can use
the little overlooked
windows paint program
that comes with windows.

it is more advanced now
a days and will let you
to open a bmp and save
it as a jpg.

click on start>run
and copy/paste the below
then click enter:

Select the pictures you want to convert in Picture manager's thumbnail view.
Click File, Export. In the window that opens on the right side of the
screen select under "Export with this file format" and scroll down to JPG in
the dropdown box. Click OK. The new JPG files will be in the same folder
that the BMP files were in with the same name except with the JPG extension.

dear sir you can always convert bmp pictures to jpeg
1. open the photo in MSPAINT or Microsoft Office Picture Manager
2. then click on files then choose Save As Option
3. under this option goto field save as type
4. choose jpeg format save the file
5. now it is converted into jpeg
