How can I create a backround in Outline View?

I have created an outline view within word for a presentation a plan to use.
However, when I select backround from the Insert menu bar to choose a
backround color that describes our business unit it automatically reverts to
Web Layout view. I want this information to remain in the Outline View for
the Collapse/Expand options that are associated with it. How can I get the
backround color to change while still in Outline View?

Backgrounds are intended for web pages & do not display in Draft/Normal or
Outline views. If you *must* use Word there are other options such as
paragraph shading but if you want to do an outline against a colored
background for a presentation why not use PowerPoint?... That's what it's
for :)

I thought about using powerpoint but I wont get the effect im looking for
within the program. I want to be able to expand/collapse features within a
title. I have looked through powerpoint and I couldnt find a way to do it,
unless I just havent looked in the right places.
