How can I create a connection point for a shape I made?

I use utilities of Visio such as Group and ungroup to create a shape, but
It's dificult to snap and glue this shape to another standard shape of
Microsoft. So I want to make connection point for the shape that I made to
easy to snap and glue to another shape.
Could you please show me how to do it?
