how can I create a custom dictionary entry in for a file extension

Word seems to mark all file extensions as misspellings, and adding them to
CUSTOM.DIC (i.e. ".wmv") does NOT keep Word from marking them as misspelled.
I would rather not add only the alphabetic part of the extension, since in
certain circumstances, this might preclude the spell checker from finding a
legitimately misspelled word (adding "mov" for the extension ".mov" could
keep a misspelling of "move" from being detected, by way of example).

Does it do this even if you have "Ignore Internet and file addresses"
checked in the Spelling & Grammar Options?
