How can I create global hyperlinks?

Hello all,

I have been working on a network diagram for my company. I want to be able
to drill down from our overall server floor image to individual racks, by
inserting hyperlinks into my drawing. However, the hyperlinks seemingly only
work on my local computer, meaning that others would have to insert the
hyperlinks themselves.

Is there any way I can place a hyperlink on an object that can be seen
universally? The drill down function would seem handicapped if there was no
way to do such.

Note: I think I've developed a workaround. I'm going to insert pages, copy
and paste drawings, and then hyperlink to the pages through the sub-link
option. I'm assuming this is the best/only way to do this?

Are the documents that you are linking to always in the same folder?
Hyperlinks can either be relative to the current document or they can
have a fixed address. Whichever you use must be consistent with folder
addresses on the appropriate computers.

Hi,
You came up with a good solution... keep the diagrams in a single file
and link to the pages instead of to other files. That avoids the
issue of maintaining the same folder structure on other machines. We
run Visio demonstrations for rack diagrams where we've structured the
hyperlinks like that.
