How can I customize a palette in Microsoft Word 2003

Bettina

Hi. Please help.

I'm working on a PC in Windows XP Professional and I am working in Microsoft
Word 2003.

Does anyone know how to customize palettes in Word? Not just by styles, but
literally changing the palette colors.

In excel and powerpoint, you can change the embedded palette.

Thank you!

Hi Bettina,

As asked before - which pallete are you referring to?
There are separate colors for text (fonts) and for shape fills and for Tables, for example). The built in pallettes can, in some
cases be added to, with up to 8 additions, that when saved with a template can make the additions available in new documents
associated with that Word template, but generally, in versions prior to Word 2007 the pallettes aren't replaceable.

You can also, in some cases, use macros added to a custom palette toolbar that would apply custom colors.

Bob,

I recall you asking what system and program I am working from. I don't
recall you asking about the palette's. Perhaps I misunderstood your response.

I am referring to the only palette in word. So, when you are working in
word, I'm referring to the palette that exists for a user to modify a color.
I am looking to modify all of the colors so that the generic colors are
replaced.

Do you understand what I'm looking for now?
Thank you.
