How can I delete all hyperlinks at once in an excel document

I have an Excel spreadsheet for our department's use which has much
information that would be useful to other departments. We have hyperlinked
copies of drawing data to this document which we do not want to have
available to everyone. Can I copy this file to a different location and then
delete all the hyperlinks at once easily? Thanks, cindylou5594

Hello Cindylou,

This newsgroup is for questions concerning Microsoft Project, not Microsoft
Excel. That being said, assuming your links are to documents, a find command
looking for the "\" character should find any paths. Enter the \ character
(without quote marks) into the find command, choose Find All and all
hyperlink addresses should be selected.

If you've hyperlinked to web addresses, repeat the find command using the
"/" character.

If these suggestions don't work, try reposting your question to an Excel
newsgroup.

Hi Cindylou,

This newsgroup is specifically for matters dealing with Microsoft Project. I suggest you try to find a more appropriate newsgroup that deals with Excel problems.

Hi CindyLou,

Select the range in Excel
Hit alt-f11 to get to the VBE
hit ctrl-g to see the immediate window
type this and hit enter:
selection.hyperlinks.delete

The easiest way is to download the free ASAP tool (http://www.asap-
utilities.com/). This has an option to delete hyperlinks (13.Web >
delete Hyperlinks).

have a look at this post in MS Excel Group:
