How can I delete messages in my outbox that have started sending?

I have two messages with large attachments in my outbox that are
"jammed"--they haven't "sent" in over 24 hours, and I am unable to
delete--the message error states "unable to delete because the messages have
begun sending". I need to delete them--how can I do so?

I recently had the same problem. Fixing is rather easy once you thin
about it.
The problem is that when you "load" Outlook, the message in the Outbo
starts the MAPI process..

If you can "work offline" you should be able to delete those message
easily. However, I could not find the work off-line feature..So I wen
into the setup of "Services". Write them down because you'll need the
to re-establish the proper mail settings..After copied, remove all th
settings..

After removing all the POP and Mail settings reload Outlook.Since i
cannot connect to a mail server, the MAPI process is disengaged and yo
will be able to delete the message..

Oh gosh, there is no need to go to that much work. Just set it offline (File menu). Or go into control panel, mail and copy the profile, delete the accounts from it and open the new profile. Delete the stuck message and return to the old profile.
