How can i design my own business card with an image as the backgro

I am trying to create a business card. I know the layout of the text I want
and what image i want to use as the background. I want to design it and have
a printer print them. I am having a hard time finding the right template to
use. The templates that i try to use i can't figure out how to change it to
how I want it to look. I can't get the image as the background??? Can anyone
help? I have been working at this for a week and want to rip my hair out!!!
