How can I disable Document Recovery

Our company warehouse system while printing out the dispatching paperwork
sometimes has problems with Words Auto Document Recovery, stopping the
paperwork from printing. I've de-ticked the option in Options/Save but this
still doesn't stop the Recovery from happening, to get around this we have to
open word close down the documents in the recovery pane then re-print the
document in the warehouse management program. is there a way of completely
disabling the recovery?
